HOMEPLUS 102 PROMO MECHANICS

Qualifications
The Promo is open to all newly approved HomePlus Loan clients with newly approved or existing China Bank Mastercard.

Program Details

  1. Newly approved HomePlus Loan clients may avail of the Bank’s lending rates fixed for one (1) year, three (3) years or five (5) years prevailing at the time of loan disbursement.

  2. Shopping credits equivalent to 1.02% of the disbursed home loan amount (minimum approved home loan of Php3 million, but shopping credits not to exceed Php50,000) will be credited to the HomePlus Loan client’s China Bank Mastercard upon disbursement of loan proceeds and upon purchase made from qualified merchant partners.

  3. Promo Period - All HomePlus Loan applications with complete requirements must be received by China Bank from August 16, 2022 to October 15, 2022.

  4. Availment / Booking Period - All HomePlus Loan applications received during the promo period must be approved by China Bank and disbursed no later than January 15, 2023.

Terms and Conditions

  1. To qualify for the promo, the HomePlus Loan applicant (or “Borrower”) must meet the following conditions:
    1. Borrower must be a Philippine resident.  Philippine resident means any natural person living and/or working in the Philippines at the time of loan application and disbursement.

    2. Borrower must submit the complete application requirements to China Bank during the promo period and must be disbursed no later than January 15, 2023.

    3. The purpose of the HomePlus Loan application must be for:
      1. Acquisition of residential lot, house and lot, townhouse, or condominium unit (with or without parking slot).
      2. Home construction/renovation.   In case of partial availment (due to staggered releases on home construction or home renovation), total amount disbursed at the end of the promo period shall be the basis of the shopping credits computation.
      3. Refinancing of a housing loan from other financial institutions.

    4. The HomePlus Loan application and China Bank Credit Card application shall be evaluated based on the Bank’s credit policies and standards.

    5. HomePlus Loan clients may opt to avail HomePlus Loan rates fixed for 1, 3, or 5 years based on Bank’s prevailing lending rate at the time of loan disbursement.  Thereafter, interest rate shall be subject to review at the Bank’s prevailing rate as of the time of loan repricing.

    6. The Borrower must have a China Bank Mastercard.   If the HomePlus Loan applicant does not have an existing China Bank Mastercard, he or she must apply for a China Bank Mastercard. Otherwise, shopping credits will not be credited. If the Borrower fails to apply for a China Bank Mastercard, the Borrower is deemed to have automatically waived or opted to forego the shopping credits.
      1. In case the HomePlus Loan applicant is working and residing abroad, the co-borrower/spouse who resides in the Philippines will be eligible to apply for a China Bank Credit Card.
      2. In case all borrowers (including spouse or relative/s acting as co-borrower/s) reside in the Philippines, the principal borrower and co-borrower shall be entitled to a credit card based on credit card approval guidelines.
      3. The China Bank Mastercard of the Borrower/co-borrower/spouse (as the case may be) must be active, current and in good credit standing*.
      4. Sole borrower with Appointed Attorney-in-Fact (unless the AIF is a co-borrower) is not qualified for the promo offer.

  2. Shopping credits equivalent to the posted purchases from the qualified merchant partners (The SM Store, SM Appliance, Crate & Barrel, Our Home, Dyson and Ace Hardware only) will be credited to the principal HomePlus Loan accountholder’s credit card.

  3. Total shopping credits to be credited will be equivalent to 1.02% of the disbursed HomePlus Loan Amount.   A cap of Php50,000 shopping credits will be imposed.

  4. Shopping credits will be reflected and credited in the Statement of Account at a maximum of one month after the purchase/s made from the qualified merchant partners have been posted in the China Bank Mastercard account.

  5. The Borrower/Cardholder shall be notified via SMS and/or email once the shopping credits have been credited to his / her China Bank Mastercard account.

  6. Shopping credits must be used within 180 days from the date of home loan disbursement.  After said period, shopping credits will be forfeited.   The Borrower/Cardholder shall be notified via SMS and/or email when the shopping credits become available.

    Borrowers with past due account status for either or both the HomePlus Loan account and China Bank Mastercard account shall not be eligible for the shopping credits.

  7. HomePlus Loan availed under this promo is subject to a lock-in period of 36 months (3 years) from date of booking and disbursement.

  8. If the Borrower requests for a partial or full prepayment of his/her HomePlus Loan account during the lock-in period, China Bank shall pro-rate the shopping credits to be credited to the HomePlus loan account.

    Sample computation and Scenario: The Borrower requested to fully prepay his home loan on the 20th month (during the lock-in period).

    Approved, booked and disbursed loan amount = Php 3M
    Total shopping credits = Php30,600 (Php3M*1.02%)
    Remainder of Lock-In Period =  16 months (16 out of 36)

           Php30,600
           ------------  X 16 mos  =   Php13,600 to be credited to the HomePlus loan account
             36 mos.

    Excess shopping credits already credited to the China Bank Mastercard account shall be reversed.

  9. In the event that the Borrower has been found to be in violation of any of the terms of the promo, all unused shopping credits shall be forfeited and the Borrower shall return to the Bank all shopping credits already credited to his/her China Bank Mastercard account, either by reversal or cash return.

  10. China Bank will shoulder the cost of applicable tax for the shopping credits.

  11. Shopping credits are non-transferrable and cannot be exchanged for cash or other items or used in conjunction with other promotions or discounts or other special considerations unless otherwise specified in the promo mechanics.

  12. All other loan related fees, such as but not limited to appraisal fee, title investigation fee, handling fee and insurance premiums, shall be shouldered by the Borrower.

  13. Standard China Bank HomePlus Loan and China Bank Credit Card Terms and Conditions shall apply.

  14. In case of dispute related to the promo, China Bank's decision, in concurrence with the DTI, will be deemed final and non-negotiable.

  15. By joining this promo, the Borrower/Cardholder confirms that he/she has read, understood, and agrees to be bound by the mechanics of the promo.

*Cardholders in good credit standing refers to accounts that are active and current and not blocked, delinquent or past due, not under any collections repayment program or special installment, not under investigation due to suspected fraudulent activities, or those whose Credit Cards are not reported lost or stolen, and those who have not otherwise, violated any of the Terms and Conditions Governing the Issuance and Use of the China Bank Credit Cards.
