1. What are the different credit card types offered by China Bank?

China Bank has six (6) card types namely Prime, Freedom, Platinum, Cash Rewards, World, and Wealth under the license of Mastercard.

China Bank Prime Mastercard is the entry level card, which lets you manage your finances with ease.

China Bank Freedom MasterCard provides perpetual waiver on annual membership fees while giving you access to rewards and delightful deals.

China Bank Platinum Mastercard is a premium card targeted for the mass affluent traveler offering complimentary travel insurance.

China Bank Cash Rewards Mastercard allows you to earn up to 6% cash rebates on your qualified spending.

China Bank World Mastercard is your access to world-class privileges such as lifestyle events, airport lounges, and a personal concierge - The China Bank World Concierge.

China Bank Wealth Mastercard is exclusively offered to Wealth Management clients.

2. How do I apply for a China Bank Credit Card?

You may apply for a China Bank Credit Card at any China Bank branch near you. You may also e-mail your fully accomplished application form together with other documentary requirements to cardsales@chinabank.ph. You can download the application form by clicking here. (Note: Please do not leave any field blank on your application form. Indicate "N/A" if not applicable.) 

3. What are the qualifications for applying for a China Bank Credit Card?

  • Must be 21 to 55 years old for Principal Cardholders and at least 13 years old for Supplementary Cardholders
  • Must be an existing Principal Credit Cardholder with other banks and with at least 12 months activity
  • Must be a Filipino citizen or a Foreigner working and permanently residing in the Philippines
  • Must be a regular employee or self-employed with business operations operating legally in the Philippines for at least two (2) years
  • Must have at least a gross annual income of Php250,000
  • Must have a valid e-mail address and mobile and landline number

4. What documentation do I have to provide when applying for a China Bank Credit Card?

The following documents are required:

  • Fully accomplished and signed China Bank Credit Card Application Form. You may download the application form here. (Note: Please do not leave any field blank on your application form. Indicate “N/A” if not applicable.)
  • Proof of identification (at least one valid photo-bearing Government-issued ID with photo and signature)

For employed applicants:

  • Details of other credit card account/s with at least (1) year principal card membership (MANDATORY);
  • AND, any of the following:
    • Latest BIR Form 2316; OR
    • Latest three (3) months’ pay slip/s; OR
    • Original Certificate of Employment

For self-employed applicants:

  • Details of other credit card account/s with at least (1) year principal card membership (MANDATORY); AND
  • Latest BIR Form 1701 and Audited Financial Statement as received by the Bureau of Internal Revenue (MANDATORY)

For Non-Immigrants and Embassy employees, aside from the requirements above, the following documents should also be submitted:

  • Photocopy of unexpired passport or visa
  • Alien Certificate of  Registration/I-Card (ACR/ICR)

5. How many Supplementary Cards can I have?

There is no limit to how many Supplementary Cards you want to enroll. You and your Supplementary Cardholders share a single credit limit. The Membership Fee for all your Supplementary Cards are waived.

6. How do I apply for a Supplementary Card?

You may apply for a China Bank Supplementary Credit Card at any China Bank branch near you. You can also apply online by downloading the Supplementary Card Application Form here and send it to cardsales@chinabank.ph.

A fully accomplished application form signed by both the Principal and Supplementary applicant and required documents under the name of the Supplementary applicant must be submitted.

7. How do I check the status of my China Bank Credit Card application?

You may check the status of your China Bank Credit Card application by calling China Bank Customer Service Hotline at +632 888-55-888 or Domestic Toll-Free Number 1-800-1888-5888. Press “2” for Credit Card Services.

8. Can I still apply for a China Bank Credit Card even if I have a previously closed account?

Yes. You may re-apply for a China Bank Credit Card by submitting a completely filled out application form with a copy of your valid ID to cardsales@chinabank.ph. Your application will undergo credit evaluation. You may download the application form here.  (Note: Please do not leave any field blank on your application form. Indicate “N/A” if not applicable.)
